Miranda Lambert Wins Award at Texas Development Economics Workshop

In early April 2024, the Texas Development Economics workshop was organized by faculty from A&M, Rice University and UT Austin. This was their first conference, however the plan is to make it a yearly event going forward.

During the workshop there was a student poster competition, with all of the non-student participants (besides the organizers) talking to PhD students over breakfast while looking at posters, and then voting for best poster.

Texas A&M PhD student Miranda Lambert won for her ongoing project “War, abduction, and bilateral intimate partner violence: Evidence from Northern Uganda” She was competing against UT Austin and Rice PhD students working in developing countries.

Congratulations Miranda!
