Below is a list of faculty-led research labs and projects that demonstrate the dynamic range of research interests and initiatives that graduate students can interact with in the Department of Communication and Journalism.
The CDI Co-Laboratory is a group of scholars who are committed to understanding how communication interventions and practices can be designed to promote individual and collective change and development, and transformation of individuals, organizations, and communities. Our mission is to develop actionable knowledge that academics, and practitioners, and policymakers can use to design and implement communication interventions that promote the health and well-being of society.

Global Fusion began in 2000 to promote academic excellence in global media and international communication studies and is sponsored by a consortium of universities: The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, Ohio University, Southern Illinois University, Temple University and University of Virginia.
