The Adam C. Sinn `00 Center for Investment Management at Mays Business School is seeking a graduate assistant to join our team from mid-to-late November 2023 through May 31, 2024.
Ideal Candidate:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in business, economics, engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrates excellent proficiency in SAS.
- Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Compile, organize, and manage a comprehensive SAS dataset of commercial banking data.
Please Note:
- Prior experience in banking or finance is nota prerequisite.
- This position is half-time, requiring 20 hours of work per week.

Upshot Capital Advisors Internship Program
A private equity firm that focuses on the healthcare sector, located in Orlando, Florida
Summer Analyst – Geared towards Finance, Economics, Accounting majors that have just started their Junior year. They will be given real projects that our executive team will need the extra help with. We use Excel for most of our financial models – so would need someone comfortable with Excel. The students we choose will get to interact with the executive team directly on the projects they are given. Types of projects include but not limited to: Research, Financial Modeling, Reviewing past/current deals, Understanding the entire deal flow process, etc.
Summer Associate – Geared towards various majors – Juniors/Grad Students. This role is more for someone that wants to get exposure to Private Equity world but isn’t a Finance/Economics major. Marketing/IT/Pre-Law students would be ideal candidates. The projects that these students would work on would vary based on the students major.
Junior Investment Analyst – 2 year full time internship. The ideal candidate for this position will be graduating from undergraduate or graduate school in May 2024. This is a rotational opportunity for the student to get some extended time with each aspect of the company and learn more about that area and spend time with the executive. The goal is to potentially offer the student a full time role after the 2 year rotation. The student would get a salary for the 2 years. The student would also be a mentor for the Summer Analyst/Summer Associate for the summer.
Applications close November 30, 2023 and interviews will be done via zoom the first and second weeks of December with an offer letter sent to the candidates before the Christmas holiday.
