Bio

Howdy, my name is Amanda Oates and I am a member of the Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s Program. I am from Fort Worth and grew up in a family full of Aggies. My interests include radio, social media, public relations within the music industry, and how auditory media impacts popular culture. As and officer and DJ for the student radio station on campus, KANM, I am interested in how radio acts as a medium of communication and I hope to conduct research related to that topic. Throughout my undergraduate studies I have been able to strengthen my research and writing skills, and I hope to transfer these into my graduate work. An interesting fact about me is that I am a twin.
