By virtue of a power from his Excellency John Lord Vaughan Capt. Gen & Govenor of Jamaica & unto us divested whose names are underwritten wee have inventoried and appraised ye goods Chattles & creditts of Edward Yates lately deceased showne unto us by Mary Yates relict & Executrix of the afore Edward Yates Vict.
to 2 tables 6 chairs, 1 iron bed to 1 carpett 1 looking glass to 8 pictures & a small prcll of books to hamock 1 looking glass to 1 bed & bedsted with appurt to 2 tables 3 chests 1 chest of ironwood to 2 chairs 1 box of pictures to a womans sadle bridle re to 1 feather bed sheets bedsted & appurt to 2 chests 1 trunk 1 case of bowles to 1 night gowne to 1 hammock to a prcll of soape to 1 table 2 stools to 5 plates 5 poring 2 servers 1 pewter Dish 3 pewter salt cellar to 4 pewter platters 4 plates 2 pewt basins 1 chamber pot to one bras bottle copper kettle to 2 trivettes 2 andirons with tongs & spitt frying pan 1 gridiron 1 chafing dish to 1 baking iron to 3 iron potts 3 candlesticks & 1 skillett Bras ladle 1 pestle & morter to 2 Boxiroot & other lumber to lamp oyle & some lumber besides to 4 large hoggs & 4 small ones to 1 pt. pot 1½ pt pot 1 gill 1 fun 1 punch bole to a prcll of Ducks & other Dunghill fowles about 30 to 600 feet of batten tree boards to a prell of Sug about 2600 to 2 coppers 3 ladles 2 scimmers to 1 still to 101 ounces of plate to 180 pr potte & drips to 4 gelding draft horses to 3 breeding mares & 4 colts to 5 mill horses, 1 mare for ye mil to 1 set of cases 1 of gudgeons, brasses and mill and mill frame to 1 case & set of harnes with appurtenances to 2 servants. to 19 working negroes 2 negro children to 1 old hamock 1 trunk to Bill Debts |

According to the Authority in me Assigned from his Excellency John Lord Vaughn Cap Gen & Goven of this Island of Jamaica on this two & twentieth day of December 1677. Edmund Delacre and Francis Daniell did both appear personally before me & on their Coporal oathes being duly sworne did then declare that those particulars above mentioned are ye true inventory of ye Estate of Edward Yates lately deceased as they were showne them by Mary Yates the relict of Ys S & Edward r ye particular appraismt of them is according to the best of their knowledge skill & judgement. In testimony where of I have here set my hand Seale ye day & year above written
